HTC Hero , T-Mobile and E-Plus Germany

HTC released yesterday all facts about their new Google Android flagship device: the HTC Hero .  Also it combines all sources of informations like twitter, facebook, email, instant messaging on the desktop in easy to use applications which look really nice. The UI seems quite fast for all the new effects. The phone will be available for 500Eur without a contract. If you need a new mobile contract, you have to get one @ T-Mobile Germany or E-Plus Germany. Our recommendation is to get a contract from T-Mobile since they have the best network in whole germany. One of the biggest differences about this android phone is, that the user interface was redesigned by HTC to a so called Sense UI. Sense allows users to modify and personalize the home screens with tons of sexy widgets.

To get more technical details, the phone has the following features on board:

How to backup Google Android and HTC Hero

[How to Android]
How to backup Google Android and HTC Hero. This section of the phone in the Google Android operating system will describe how to get spare. So, I have found several backup applications for my new HTC Hero with Android operating system. The synchronization with Google services itself is a backup tool too. As soon as you will add any new contacts, e-mails or events to calendar, the synchronization starts. If you don t have an internet connectivity immediately, then the synchronization will be done later, of course. So using this, your basic data are backed up to the Gmail a Google Calendar.

However this is not enough. You don t have to use the Gmail and could prefer another way to backup your HTC Hero or another Android powered phone. So what are the backup applications Android marketplace offers?

SMS Backup for the Android and HT Hero

Do you have a lot of SMS messages you wouldn t accidentally delete or lost? Then try the application called SMS Backup. This software will backup all of your HTC Hero (or Android phone) SMS to the Gmail. At first, provide your username and password, then the software will inform you that the first backup needs to be initiated manually. So click the OK and Backup buttons and wait for a while. The SMS will be backed up using 100 pieces batch. Then you can set up Auto backup option.

After you will log in to your Gmail account, you will see a new tag with SMS label.

MyBackup endash backups all your applications and data

Another interesting software is MyBackup. This is a paid application, but you have 30days trial for testing purposes. So try before you buy. Using this software is very easy. Just start it, click the Backup button and select what you would like to backup from your HTC Hero/Android phone. You have two options: Applications or Data.

If you select Applications backup, then you will be prompted with the list of all your application installed in your Android device. Click Check all (or manually select only some items) and continue with the OK button. Provide a name for this backup and wait for a while until the apps are backed up to the memory card in your device.

The Data backup gives you another two options endash SD Card and Online. I have used the SD Card option since I would like to see my backed up data. And again. You will be prompted with a list including Contacts, Call log, Bookmarks, SMS, MMS, System Settings, Home Settings, Alarms, Dictionary, and data from another installed applications. Check all, click the OK button, provide the backup name and wait for a while.

By the way, the online backup here is a very good idea. You can have your backup on the SD Card, but as soon as someone will stole you phone, you will lost this backup with it together.

The backup process can be scheduled and you can easily manage and restore from your previous backups.

Backup using Astro File manager

Astro File manager is another useful app for your Android device. It is something like Total Commander for Windows or Midnight Commander for Linux. This great freeware file manager has a backup functionality too. It is able to backup your application to the SD card.

Do you have another tip for Android backup application? Let us know using the comment below this article. I m sure all of the readers will appreciate this.

Click the Menu button on your HTC Hero device (or something similar on another phones), select Tools and tap the Application manager/Backup option. The Astro will load the application list. Select one, more or all of the applications and click the Backup button. Your software will be copied to the SD card.

And we're just getting started. Head on past the break for our top pics.
Our top accessories for the HTC ThunderBolt

Kind of a big question, right? Where do we start. The HTC ThunderBolt is one of the hottest phones of the spring, if not the year. It's the first device with LTE data. But along with all that high-speed goodness comes a trade-off -- battery life. And a lot of us have made an extra battery -- especially an extended battery -- our first HTC ThunderBolt accessory. For others, it's a holster, or a skin, or a case, or a screen protector. Bluetooth headsets, speakerphones and stereo headphones allow you to go hands-free while talking or listening to music.

Below you'll find some of our top accessory picks for the HTC ThunderBolt from those of us here at the site and in the forums. Maybe it's cases, maybe it's a battery (and chances are pretty good). So without further ado, some of our favorite accessories so far for the HTC ThunderBolt, broken down by category:

Picking the best case for the HTC ThunderBolt isn't easy. There are so many to choose from. You've got hard cases, skins, holsters, leather cases -- the works. The Mobi Products Hard Shell Case stands out just because the colors are great. The plastic molding isn't quite 100 percent, but we're willing to overlook that.

If you're looking for a simple skin case for your ThunderBolt, check out the HTC Skin Case. It's a basic rubber case that slips over the phone. Easy on, easy off.

If you're looking for a ThunderBolt holster, Seidio's Spring Clip is tried and true. The phone clips in, and the spring clip is sturdy, but not overly difficult, so you have quick access to the phone while it's on your side.

A leather-ish case gives you a little more style, and the HTC Messenger case may be the way to go. The phone easily slips in and out for a comfortable and stylish ride in your pocket.

It's an extended battery, so it's a little bigger and comes with an extended battery door. The Seidio Innocell 1600mAh battery gives you a little extra juice over the stock battery, and it does it without adding any size or weight.

The HTC microUSB dual charger lets you charge two devices at the same time while you're on the road. So you can power up your phone and Bluetooth device simultaneously. Or two phones at once, if that's how you roll.

You'll need a dock to actually hold the phone, and the iGrip PerfektFit car charging dock does just that. It's got a powerful suction cup so it stays in place on your dash or on the windshield. And you can plug in a microUSB car charger so you're juiced up at the same time.

If you don't want to use a Bluetooth headset, check out a speakerphone instead. The Blueant Supertooth 3 is an old favorite that also connects with your contacts to let you know who's trying to get ahold of you.
